This network provides a regular opportunity for school leaders to learn with and from each other in terms of both strategic and operational practices for closing educational gaps in their school. Local authority officers will bring to the network examples of latest national and local practice and research to enhance our shared discussions.
This event will bring together a collaborative learning network for senior/middle level leaders with a strategic responsibility maximising the use of Pupil Premium funding to close gaps for disadvantaged/vulnerable pupils. The autumn term network will explore a training package (Closing the Word Gap) that delegates can take back to their schools to deliver during a staff meeting. There will also be an opportunity to listen to head teachers feeding back on the Resilience Programme for primary schools and the impact this has had on pupils, staff and parents. The spring term meeting will include a presentation from a local head teacher whose pupils in receipt of PP achieved higher outcomes than the national average. She will explore various interventions and teaching and learning strategies with proven impact.
Delegates will have developed a greater understanding of how to make effective use of Pupil Premium.
This is day one of a three day network, you will be charged for all three events upon booking. Please ensure you book day 2 (7.3.19) and day 3 (4.6.19) separately.
