SACRE Conference - Intentions, Implementation, Impact: Ofsted Updates

Outline

Intentions, Implementation, Impact of RE. The course is intended to meet the needs of RE subject leaders, classroom teachers and those taking RE across the school.
Digital and paper copies of all the resources and ideas will be provided for teachers to use in school.

Description

Session 1: The intentions of RE
Five practical classroom examples will illustrate the aims and purposes of the subject in action.

Session 2: The Implementation of RE
Five practical examples from Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, Christian and non-religious worldviews will illustrate effective RE implementation strategies.

Session 3: The Impact of RE
Using outcome-led approaches to RE, this session will enable teachers to review and develop their RE achievement practice, showing what progress looks like for pupils 4-11 through practical examples, including better writing in RE.
