Managing Appraisal and Performance Related Pay Effectively
This course is aimed at headteachers, senior leaders and appraisers who are new to role or who currently undertake the role and want to develop/refresh their understanding of the role. It would also be beneficial to governors who wish to develop their understanding of appraisal and the statutory links with pay progression, including updates to the School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document 2017.

Induction Tutor Training
This is an important one day event designed specifically for those induction tutors who have not previously received training for the new Teachers’ Standards through the Authority’s programme of support for induction tutors and are unfamiliar with the national requirements for NQT assessment. Course members will be involved in a range of activities during the day including presentations, video case studies and group work.
Physical intervention and MAPA training is provided through the local authority co-ordinator who delivers nationally accredited courses. These courses provide participants with an insight into recent legislation and guidance that could impact on policy and practice as well as a range of physical and non-physical strategies to help manage the risks posed by children and young people's behaviour
Switch-on Literacy Intervention (Day 1 of 2)
Switch-on is a 20 minute, trained-adult led, personalised reading and writing intervention for children and young people who are vulnerable or underachieving across the primary and secondary age range.
